Rebecca has enjoyed working as an educator in a wide variety of capacities for the past twenty years. She began her career as a research Oceanographer, and after receiving her PhD in Oceanography from the University of Hawaii, she taught at the University of Hawaii, Monterey Peninsula College and California State Monterey Bay. She was a founding member of the faculty at The New High School Project at Chartwell School, where she designed project-based science programs for students with learning differences. For the past four years, Rebecca has been the Director of Mathematics and Sciences at MCP Middle and High School. She is now excited to begin a new chapter in her career as the Math and Science Coordinator at Steps to Success. When Rebecca is not teaching, she is laughing and playing with her husband and two young children, who love anything involving a wetsuit, hiking shoes, a climbing harness, or chocolate.
